Meet Your Doctor

Rachel Goodman MD, FACOG

Second Spring understands that traditional OB/GYN settings can often leave women feeling as if their desires, concerns and sensitive questions are left unaddressed.

Dr. Goodman is passionate about guiding women on their journey toward whole sexual health. She believes all women have an opportunity to enjoy their vaginal health, no matter what stage of life they are in.

Santa Fe Roots

Dr. Rachel Goodman was born and raised in Santa Fe. During her 12 years away from New Mexico, she obtained her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She also devoted herself to service trips in Nepal and Honduras and spent time living in Argentina advancing her Spanish speaking skills. She returned home to New Mexico to attend residency in OBGYN at The University of New Mexico.

A passion for women’s health

Upon completion of her training, she excitedly settled in her home state to begin her practice. After an almost 10 year career in full-spectrum OB/GYN care in Northern New Mexico, Rachel founded Second Spring in 2022. Rachel’s experiences in OBGYN and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery inspired her to shift her focus towards sexual health, vaginal health and the menopausal transition.

Founding Second Spring

Answering to this notable demand, she now dedicates herself to guiding and advising women on their journey through menopause and in sexual wellness. The private clinic setting of Second Spring allows her to combine her medical knowledge and alternative mindset with dedicated time and attention for an individualized approach to care. Rachel and her husband, who was also born and raised in Santa Fe, are proudly raising their young family in their hometown.
